PUPPY TRAINING
Training your puppy with me is simple and enjoyable both for you and your puppy. I use reward based methods only, which are kind, effective and supported by animal learning theory and research.
My approach can be described as "dog-oriented teaching" as I emphasize the fact that not only dogs need to learn how to live in our society but also we should understand and respect their needs.
I offer puppy socialization and training classes in Leytonstone, E11 and one-to-one training within East London.
For adult dog training have a look here.

PUPPY SOCIALIZATION & TRAINING CLASSES
Puppy classes are held in Leytonstone, E11. They are designed for puppies up to 22 weeks of age (at the start of the course). If your puppy is older but you are looking for classes to attend anyway, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Classes are fun and held in a relaxed atmosphere to provide a friendly environment both for you and your puppy. There is no more than 5 puppies in a group, so you will receive plenty of individual attention.
Classes are held indoors but if weather permits we are using outdoor space in a small garden adjoining the hall.
Each course last 6 weeks, one hour per week and covers all puppy basics - name recognition, coming when called, walking on a loose leash, sitting and staying on request, leaving an object when asked to do so, settling down, "soft mouth" training, polite greeting, accepting handling and grooming - as well as a supervised socialization with other puppies and people.
Owners will be taught how to understand canine communication, how dogs learn and process information and what to do to live a happy and relaxed life with our four-legged friends.
My classes differ from most of others as my approach is very dog-centred - teaching dogs how to behave and fit into human lifestyles is as important for us as teaching people how to understand and respect their dogs. In short: how to live a harmonious life together.
As a trainer I amabided by The Guild of Dog Trainers Values.
Please note that the course last 6 weeks and you need to enrol before coming in. Spaces are strictly limited to 5 puppies and are allocated on 'first come first served' basis.
ONE-TO-ONE PUPPY TRAINING
My one-to-one training program is divided into 1 hour sessions - it is totally up to you how many you decide to book but please have a look what is covered in each block:
- single hour - designed for those puppy owners who have already had an experience in living with and training dogs and require some specialist advice only or are concerned about a particular issue, let it be toilet training, introduction to an existing pet or breed drives.
- 3 hours block - covers all the doggy manners basics:
toilet training, bite inhibition ("soft mouth") training, chewtoy training, settling down (with or without using a crate), walking on a loose leash, coming when called, sitting and staying when asked, polite greeting (without jumping up), accepting handling and grooming
+ theory for an owner: principles of canine learning, canine communication, understanding of a dog-human relationship, healthy feeding, car safety (if required) and positive training methods theory.
These sessions are usually held in your house and garden (if you have one) or a nearby park.
- 5 hours block - covers everything mentioned above + outdoor socialization - going out and about to the park and around the streets, introducing your puppy properly to other dogs and strangers, possibly supervised play (if we're lucky to meet an appropriate companion), short trip by bus and tube etc. + introduction to trick training if there's still time.
It is advised to have one session every week. You will receive a homework to do during the week. If you experience any problems between sessions, I am available for advice and help via email (email consultations are included in the price of the course).
