Gosia Lehkunów is 26 years old, moved to London almost 3 years ago and has been living with dogs since... she can remember. When still in Poland, she was extensively cooperating with shelters and rescues fostering, training and rehoming dogs. She has an experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from Spaniels to Great Danes. Not all of them were well-behaved and easy to handle. She moved to London to study animal behaviour, which is not available in Poland, and is actively interested in modern, reward-based techniques of training. At present she studies at the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training, working towards BA(Hons) in Professional Practice in Canine Behaviour and Training and to further broaden her knowledge of the field she attends different seminars, run by such prominent behaviourists as for example Patricia McConnell. Gosia is an Assistant Dog Trainer within The Guild of Dog Trainers and an owner of two rescued dogs: Ivan the German Shepherd, who makes an invaluable helper during training sessions, and a bundle of fun, Mia the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is also a volunteer home checker, dog assessor and fosterer for the German Shepherd Rescue UK.
Gosia is police-checked and fully insured with Pet Business Insurance.
Gosia Rokicka does not work for Dogs & the City anymore (nor with dogs in general for that matter), however she can still be contacted via gosia@dogsandthecity.co.uk, if needed.
